Systems Engineer is required by a Cambridgeshire based technology organisation. The contract will run for 3 months initially and we are looking for somebody who will be available immediately.

The Systems Engineers responsibilities will include administering, maintaining and supporting engineering tools and services but also developing solutions to improve efficiency, monitoring and reliability of those tools and services. You must also be Strong in both Administration and Development, being able to split your time 50% on each.

The engineer will be required to interface between Engineering and IT Engineering, and will be required to possess experience in the following areas:

· Troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex problems

· Very strong UNIX / Linux skills (RHEL)

· Experience administering one of the following: Subversion, Synchronicity, Flex, Platform computing, Jira

· Strong scripting experience and skills in Perl, C, TCL, Shell (sh, csh, tcsh)
