The Role

Our Client seeks a Network and Security Administer to work as part of our Systems group to build and support networking and security infrastructure and processes for internal and external customers.

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and security of client/server applications, operating systems and services across our development, QA, Hosted, release environments as well as our Internal User Applications.

You will be responsible for resolving incidents in line with SLA's and helping the company to manage its changes as the network infrastructure is continuously improved.

In addition to "traditional" internal networking infrastructure a major (and growing) part of this role will be focused on hosted solutions on a public cloud platform. The ideal candidate must be familiar with the challenges and opportunities this brings especially in relation to security, capacity and supportability.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have clear aspirations towards CCIE status and already be an experienced security (policy/technology) familiar with industry trends and good practice.

You will have 5+ years' experience working in a high-availability environment as a senior network engineer, experience designing and operating internal corporate networks and defining corporate security police whilst ensuring adherence via penetrations and vulnerable assessments.

You will have experience Reviewing third parties security particularly around PCI:DSS (e-commerce) & network interconnects and working experience with large Software Development teams on shared projects also a knowledge of cloud platform services (EC2, S3 etc) would be an advantage.

Good knowledge of most or all of the following technologies … DNS, DHCP, Configuration Management Tools, LDAP, Nagios, Asterisk and other Telecoms systems.
