Are you a recent computer science graduate with excellent software development skills, an interest in the IoT space, big data and distributed systems? Do you want to work in a flexible role where you are challenged to learn new technologies frequently and contribute to multiple projects at once? Key requirements: *At least 2:1 in either Computer science, systems engineering or similar *Experience of OO programming in either Java or Python or C++ *Web services: SOAP, RESTful *Modern web languages - PHP, HTML et al ideal Desirable: * Database exposure (No SQL, Oracle, SQL) *A good understanding of data structures and distributed systems As a Software Engineer, you will be developing software that will 'glue' systems together. Your skills will ensure the smooth movement and analysis of disparate data sets from multiple sources. The role will require you to wear a lot of different hats, thrive in a high pressure environment and collaborate with commercial business, academia and central government - are you up for the challenge? We need good OO developers with a background in Java or C++. At the moment a number of projects require python, next month it may be something different - the environment is constantly changing.
