My client, an International Procurement Specialist to the Oil and Gas industry are expanding and are on the lookout for a Senior Sales Engineer. This opportunity offers the right candidate a varied role encompassing all elements of the commercial process, acting as a focal point for enquiries to ensure the sales potential is maximised through the delivery of a prompt and responsive service to their customer base. It is hoped that the successful candidate will progress quickly and take on additional responsibilities. Initial duties will include but are not limited to: *Responding to enquiries in a swift and professional manner by providing formal quotations for customers *Entering sales orders into the company system and preparing orders for processing in line with company procedures *Help select and liaise with vendors to provide the best commercial terms and the best solution for client applications. *Liaise with technical and commercial specialists both within the company and the suppliers, to help deliver product solutions to satisfy customer requirements. *Conduct commercial negotiations, including pricing and contract details. *Deliver appropriate management reports and statistics as required. *Visit customers in the UK and internationally as required. *Assist with exhibitions and customer visits as required. *On request be involved in the wider initiatives in terms of sales, product and market development. *Liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective customer support activities. *Provide assistance for company marketing, advertising and PR activities as required. *Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System in relation to all sales and marketing activities. *Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies. *General sales administration, ensuring that it is prepared in a timely and accurate manner. *Administer and support of internal and external sales enquiries as required. *Provide assistance in other areas as and when required The ideal candidate will be a graduate or equivalent with experience in a commercial role, preferably with experience in the sales of electrical/mechanical products such as valves, pumps, cables etc. Experience within a purchasing/supply chain role would also be advantageous as would Logistical knowledge and a sound understanding of digital marketing and social media.
