Senior IT Engineer - VMware, Windows Servers Applications welcome from both local and international candidates - relocation packages and visa sponsorship on offer!! Opportunity to be a key player in supporting European IT Operations for a global company!! KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCES NEEDED: - Proven experience (5-10 years' or more) as an IT Engineer / Systems Administrator. - Specialist in VMware (vSphere) and Windows based technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange). - Demonstrable experience in not only supporting and maintaining existing networks, but also designing and implementing new server environments, data centres, etc. - NICE TO HAVE: Some sort of prior leadership or supervisory experience - or at least a desire and willingness to take on responsibilities of this nature. - NICE TO HAVE: Exposure to VMware VDI, knowledge of Veeam ROLE SUMMARY: A global technology company, focused on emerging technology areas such as Mobile technologies and IoT, is seeking a Senior IT Engineer / Systems Administrator to be a key figure in supporting European IT and Networking operations. This will include not only support and maintenance of existing systems, but also fresh greenfield project work (e.g. the upcoming roll out of a new data centre)! In order to step into this senior role, it is important that you are already very strong technically when it comes to VMware (vSphere) and Windows based network technologies (such as Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange). You will have supervisory responsibilities for other engineers - so, some sort of prior leadership experience would be ideal but not essential. This could be a great opportunity for somebody to take a step up and take on duties of this nature if they haven't done so before! Generally speaking you will need to be comfortable working and communicating with engineers and personnel across other teams and countries - and able to travel on occasion to other global sites (mostly in Europe) when required.
