Job Details

Location flexible - not an office based role. Government backed big data start up in the Agricultural sector. Opportunity for somebody to take ownership of this company's Product Management activities! KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCES NEEDED: - Expert knowledge of the agricultural and food-supply chain, and the complexities involved. - Ideally big data / data-as-a-service experience, or at least a grasp of how data can be used to impact the sector. - Ideally you will have demonstrable experience as a 'Product Manager' - or at least an understanding of this role, and an ability to bridge the gap between clients and technical teams. - We will consider Product Managers looking to further their career - or individuals already in a senior level position who can take up a key leadership role! ROLE SUMMARY: A tech start up in the 'Agritech' space which, with significant Government investment, is now progressing towards becoming a fully self-sufficient commercial entity, seeks a Product Manager to be a key part of this journey. This organisation is developing a huge big data platform with a view to re-structuring the food supply system and help solve the world's food shortage problem - they already have a talented team of Software Developers and scientists, and now need a Product Manager to bridge the gap between them and their clients. This is a new role and therefore, as the company continues to grow, you will have ample growth opportunities and potential to develop into more of a senior / lead role within the company as time goes on! Or perhaps you may already occupy a senior level position, and therefore will be able to leverage your experience to help take this company to the next level. The biggest must have here is in depth knowledge of the Agricultural / Food Supply-Chain sectors. We also want somebody who has an understanding of how new technology, and specifically big data, can be applied to these industries. If you tick these boxes, and are a Product Manager or feel that you could transfer your skills into a position of this nature, then we want to hear from you!
