Network Engineers- R&D, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Visualisation (NFV) Work for a world leading IoT R&D body on a range of European funded technology projects! If you want to be part of the future of networking communication technologies, read on!! **RELOCATION PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE** KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCES NEEDED: We are looking for a variety of network specialists with: - Commercial Research & Development experience in networking / telecommunications. - We will consider network infrastructure specialists, as well as those from more of a DevOps / Software background (with skills in areas such as Java or scripting languages, i.e. Python, Perl). - Anybody with skills / exposure to concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Visualisation (NFV), Openstack, OpenDaylight, etc, would be of interest - although this is not essential. - Experience in designing new networks, breaking them, building them back up again - this is a lot more than just general network support and maintenance!! ROLE SUMMARY: You will be part of a small team who are looking to revolutionise the concepts of networking and telecommunications, by implementing and experimenting with new technologies and techniques such as Software Defined Networking. This is for an organisation who are able to carry out commercial R&D projects on a large scale, thanks to the significant support and funding they have received from various European research and public organisations! We are therefore seeking a number of Network and R&D Engineers who are looking to further their careers by working with the latest emerging technologies that the networking / communications sector has to offer. You may already have had exposure to concepts such as SDN or NFV - or at least have experience working in an R&D capacity and a passion to learn about these technologies. This is not a run of the mill network support role - we want people who can design and implement new networking technologies and platforms, break them down, figure out how they work, build them back up again; basically people who have a passion for R&D and how communication networks operate! We will consider people from a network infrastructure background, as well those from more of a DevOps or software background - programming skills in Java or scripting languages such as Python or Perl would be nice to have, but not essential.
