Junior / Graduate Web Developer Fantastic opportunity for developers passionate about open source web technologies! Further your career in an R&D team focused on IoT & Smart / Connected product development!! KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCES NEEDED: - 0-3 years' commercial experience in Web Development (candidates at fresh graduate, or equivalent, level will be considered). - You will need to specialise in web development (ideally back-end or full-stack) utilising open source technologies / languages such as Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP, etc... - Ideally you will have had exposure to cloud & web services related concepts and technologies. - Other technologies / concepts involved will include MySQL, JavaScript, node.js, API Developmnent... ROLE SUMMARY: Working within an R&D team focused on developing innovative solutions in the world of IoT and smart / connected devices, you will be part of a new web development team which is being put together to spearhead the development of a brand new cloud platform! Working alongside a senior / lead developer, you will gain exposure to the full project life cycle and have a genuine influence on the technical direction and landscape of this new platform. This could involve working with a range of open source web technologies and languages - Ruby on Rails will be the key development language so any exposure to this would serve you well, but this can be taught if not; in place of this candidates with good knowledge of other open source languages such as Python, PHP, etc, will be considered. Experience in MySQL, node.js and API development would also be highly beneficial. Ideally you will have some commercial experience in Web Development, around 1-3 years', although talented candidates at fresh graduate (or equivalent) level will be considered if they can demonstrate a knowledge and passion for the relevant technical concepts!
