Innovation and Funding Business Development Manager Provide have been retained by a growing Tech SME in Cambridge within innovation and R&D domain to secure they next key senior hire to open up their new consultancy division within Grants and Funding field. In just 5 years, this business has achieved a great consultancy and technology portfolio, but their ambitions don't stop here! Required experience You will have full autonomy on business, pricing and staffing model for this division but to deliver this ambitious project - you must be a well-connected specialist within Horizon 20/20 and Innovate UK sector with good management experience and understanding of proposal writing. *Educated to a degree level *Proven expertise of effectively winning, developing and managing long lasting business to business relationships within funding/proposals domain *At least 10 years of experience *Full knowledge of the lifecycle in developing EU and Innovate UK funding applications *Proven record of successful delivery of EU and Innovate UK funding applications for industrial and research clients *You will have up-to-date field knowledge of current technical funding opportunities *You will have a strong network of proposal writers / funding consultants you can use to recruit and manage a team *A flexible approach to travel as required Role & Company We are looking for highly acute commercial/business development expert in EU/UK funding applications field ( Innovate UK/ Horizon 20/20) to form a new division and secure clients and team to deliver the P&L targets. Highly competitive remuneration is on offer, with relocation, car allowance and above all an opportunity to be strategically involved in growing out an already successful business. There is also flexibility with working from home, although you will be expected to work from Cambridge office few days a week. The role is based out of Cambridge, UK, with possibility of frequent travel.
