Data Scientist / Modeler (Energy Market) x 2 'Consultant' position within the Energy division of a financial / actuarial consultancy Roles available at varying experience levels! KEY EXPERIENCES / SKILLS REQUIRED: - Mathematically minded and ideally an academic background in a numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Computing, etc). - Hands on expertise in mathematical data modeling and computer programming. - Energy sector experience (ideally in the Electricity market). - For more senior level applicants, we will want to see evidence that you have commercial acumen and the ability engage effectively with clients (ideally from working in a consulting experience). ROLE SUMMARY: A well established financial / actuarial consultancy in London is seeking Consultants for their relatively new Energy division - an opportunity to join a team with a dynamic start-up mentality, within an already well established organisation! They key purpose of this team is to provide Data Analysis / Modeling services to the Energy and Electricity markets - working with high profile clients including Government bodies, regulators and commercial / industrial energy companies. This role would therefore maybe suit a Data Scientist or Modeler, or somebody from a similar background - who specifically has experience of applying this in the Energy sector. We are seeking somebody who is a strong hands on modeler ideally with programming skills - but who also possesses the 'softer' skills required to engage with clients and undertake more commercially oriented responsibilities! More junior candidates must be able to show the potential to take on a role of a consulting nature, whilst more experienced candidates will be expected to already have this experience (or similar) under their belts.
