- Software Developer (possibly 'Senior') needed to work on cutting edge cloud services solutions. - Opportunity to work in the emerging 'Smart Home' & IoT domains. KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED: - Demonstrable background in web & cloud services related software development (varying experience levels considered, ideally from 3-4 years' commercial experience and upwards). - Expertise in back-end JavaScript development (ideally with Node.js). - Proficiency in open source languages such as Ruby on Rails and / or Python would be advantageous. - REST and JSON API development eperience. ROLE SUMMARY: A tech house in the 'smart' tech world (specifically, smart home and entertainment solutions) has recently dived into the world of Cloud Services development - and is therefore seeking a Software Developer with relevant expertise to work in a small team spearheading this. Your responsibilities will be wide ranging, from hands on development to getting involved in creative decisions around solution design and architecture. Working on solutions in the emerging worlds of IoT and 'smart home', you will be part of a team developing novel web and cloud solutions that will contribute to shaping how we live and consume entertainment in the future home! You will need to possess a track record of web and cloud services development, ideally 3-4 years or more (with more experience and senior candidates also encouraged to apply). Ideally you main strength will be in back end development, with JavaScript expertise being a must have (and ideally Node.js experience). Your experience will likely be based around open source languages and technologies, such as Ruby on Rails and Python - although, outside of JavaScript, there is no one language that you need to be an expert in; so long as you have a passion and ability to learn and delve into new languages and concepts!
