Additive Manufacturing Materials Scientist I am looking for individuals who want to shape the future of additive manufacturing. If you have a background in materials science, coupled with the creative drive to identify and exploit new business opportunities, then you will love this unrivalled career opportunity. A leading technology consultancy that combines deep expertise in microfluidics, optics and printhead physics with a broad digital printing systems integration capability is looking for a Materials Scientist to join them as a specialist in additive manufacturing. They invent and deliver print technology and printing systems across a range of applications, and see massive potential in next-generation 3D printing technology. Much of the innovation in this field is occurring in the materials and chemistry space. I am looking for a leader: somebody who can build an AM/3D materials capability within the company. You will drive innovation within our labs, and work closely with clients and partners, to uncover opportunities and build new business. You will have * A PhD or first / upper-second class BSc in a related scientific discipline. * A proven ability to analyse, deconstruct and solve complex problems, and multi-faceted design challenges. * At least three years' experience in the formulation and development of novel materials, ideally within the additive manufacturing or industrial / 3D printing industry. You will be * An opportunity spotter: curious, imaginative, and commercially astute. * Already successfully leading a team, or ready to do so. * A strong communicator with influencing skills, ideally proven in a consulting or customer-facing role. * Ambitious and self-starting, with a desire to combine both technical and commercial insight to create business impact.
